Beyazit, Suzan Suzan Beyazit was born in 1964, in Turkey and had first music lessons in Istanbul.
After having studied " Classical Music Studies" at Goldsmiths College, she began writing more regularly for traditional instruments. Then she studied at the London College of Music where she gained a Bmus (Hons). She has received tuition from Adam Gorb and Eddie Harvey (Jazz composition).
Notable works include "The Spirit In Trouble", and "Black Sea" for String Quartet, "The Life In Kosovo" for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet and Piano, a solo piece for Flute, "East Flavour" for Big band and "Birnan Wood" for Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
"Burnam Wood" was premiered in May 2000, in London.
At the present, she is writing music for a dance project, which is in the style of Contemporary Anatolian.
